At Field House Nursery, we value children’s ideas, conversations and thoughts and provide them with exciting and interesting experiences with good educational values. We provide a range of learning opportunities through play and first-hand experiences. We monitor all our children’s learning and development, and we use the ‘Tapestry’ system in which parents and carers receive regular monthly information regarding their child’s progress.
Realising the vision
Our education programme is based on a cycle of observation, analysis and planning to promote children’s interests, learning and development. When playing with children, our highly skilled staff use theoretical approaches using a balance of both adult-led and child-led provocations giving them time and respecting their ideas and opinions so that every child is able to express their thoughts, fascinations and interests. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and have developed stringent procedures and policies relating to Safeguarding and Welfare requirements.
At Field House Nursery, parents and carers are thought of as trusted partners and their opinions are valued and appreciated. We maintain a Facebook page to ensure parents are kept up to date with our nursery achievements and adventures.
Weekly baby social group
Our popular weekly baby social group enables children to become familiar with the environment and offers parents who are on maternity leave the opportunity to make new friends. The group is supported by a senior staff member who co-ordinates exciting activities and supports parents with advice and information.
